As a 21 yr old i turn on the tv or open the news paper and see another life has been taken yet again either to gun crime or knife crime, ive lost count on how many this is this year.
I ask myself how many more have to die before people stand up and stop this is it going to be when its too late or when someone is government loses someone to the crime.

I had the honour of getting the advice of a special remarkable woman Pat Regan, pat worked with the mothers against violence campaign in Leeds who stood to stop gun & knife crime some people thought this was just another cause but i believed in it and so did Pat as Pat lost her son Danny to Gun crime.
I recently found out that mothers against violence dont recieve any funding from the government and to be honest i found this hard to accept.

I have set up this page for anyne who has been affected by either gun or knife crime or for anyone who wants to show their support.

Im standing against violence and i hope you will to...

4 year ago someone tried to attack my brother so i stepped in front of him and ended up been stabbed, luckily it was only by a screw driver and in my hand but even so i was still stabbed.
The lad what did it had come out with a screw driver tucked up his sleeve and had intended to use that screw driver for what we're not sure.
I reported this to the plice and it went to court i sat in the waiting room in court and in walked the lad with his partner they sat taunting me i was petrefied and guess what he got off with it.
I was so annoyed by this because if that had been a youth in a hoody walking round with a screw driver tucked up their sleeve they would have been locked up straight away, the lad what assaulted me also attacked my brother and was known to the police for his violence and drug offences bgut still walked free.
I still see the lad he taunts me all the time and i have suffered from the attack not just physically but also mentally,if the screw driver had gone an inch further i could have lost all movement in my right hand.

What kind of government have we got its disguisting i think we need to make a stand.

Well done Jenny, for setting up this site.

I cannot watch the news or read the papers sometimes, for fear of seeing yet another young life lost in a violent way. Why do SOME of you young people think it's hard or big or clever to carry weapons? They talk about 'respect' but what respect are THEY showing for their victims when they stick a knife in them? They talk about their 'rights', but WE all have rights as well - the right to go out & about our daily lives without fear or to be worrying for our sons & daughters. When people remember their RESPONSIBILITIES to be decent members of society, things might just improve. Then you will deserve respect.

I would just like to thank everyone for taking time to view this page and support it,im 21 and its not that long ago i was a teenager myself.
Growing up we didnt have anywhere to go youth clubs or anything like that all we had was to stand on the streets, luckily i had a pretty cool mum who turned out spare room into a chill out room for me and my friends and even when we were stood on the street we never terrorised anyone.
Lately whenever i turn on the tv all you see is another life taken kids kiling kids its not on and im sorry but i dont think all parents are to blame because i know kids what have had a greta up bringing but ended up in prison i think its down to the idividual.
I think the government need to step up more and stop this now i think too many lives have been lost.

Id like to thank you all for your support and hope we can try stop this.

i cannot believe the amount of lives that have been lost to mindless gun and knife crime, it seems that the youth of today think its cool and trendy to carry knives and guns with them even to school. THIS HAS TO STOP NOW. i am only 23 myself and i just dont know what goes through these peoples minds when they take another persons life, it should definately be a life for a life no matter how sorry or remorseful they may be, if they get caught at all. i have a 2 year old daughter and i am terrified at what this country is going to be like when she gets abit older, we try our best to bring our kids up in the best possible ways but its other kids that corrupt them into violence, its a constant circle and EVERY parent should be doing thier upmost to drill into their children how wrong carrying a knife or gun is. The way i see it the government are doing absolutely nothing to try and control this country, we hardly ever hear from gordon brown, making speeches or telling us whats going on. we all need to make a stand and come together for the sake of our kids and future generations. i know of kids terrified of walking to the shops, even adults. its got to stop.
RIP ALL OF THE PEOPLE BEEN TAKEN TOO SOON XXX

it has to stop now.

i worry so much for my children and granchildren but i also worry for any other young person today, why is it always the good child that it happens to? we have to stop this disease which is killing loved ones who are loved so much and had their whole future taken away by some senseless act. the law has to change to protect our children, however old they are they are someones child and no one has the right to take a life away and get away with it, its the family that gets a life sentence it has to change and soon, well done for setting up this page.
